Monday – Friday, May 20 - 24, 2024

This class is aimed at experimenting with and exploring non-traditional methods of working with Pâte de Verre. You will learn how to create a wide range of objects without making plaster silica molds. We shall investigate different possible results and discover how to achieve artistic and aesthetic goals using glass paste.

During this week, you will become storytellers and will learn how to transform your ideas into three-dimensional objects made with various formulas of Pâte de Verre.

We will explore different possibilities for working with this medium, both on its own and in mixed media. We will test combining other materials like metals, botanicals etc. We will also use images, text, and texture. Lastly, we will discuss firing schedules as well as finishing and coldworking.

This week will be filled with experimentation, play, and discovery.
